We Funded a Playground for Tazewell Primary School!
One of our most impactful community contributions in recent history has come through our partnership with Tazewell-New Tazewell Primary School. When the school launched an ambitious $200,000 playground renovation project, Rusty Wallace Toyota stepped forward with substantial support.
In October 2025, our owner Greg VonCannon and manager Mike Crutchfield visited the school to present a $5,000 matching funds check to Principal Rudy Poore and Vice Principal Blake Hopper. This donation directly supported the Collin Barnard Memorial Playground project, bringing students one step closer to having a safe, modern play area.
Toyota Motor Corporation joined our efforts, which shows how manufacturer and dealer partnerships can create positive change in local communities. With the added momentum from this donation, the school hopes to soon secure what remaining funding is needed and complete construction.
